Two people were killed and about 50 injured when an earthquake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, struck central Serbia at 1.56 a.m. on November 3. The epicenter of the quake was 10 kilometers north-west of the town of Kraljevo.

According to the data of the Emergency Situation Sector in Kraljevo, 3.822 buildings have been checked so far, and 733 of them have been qualified as unsafe for further use.
The schools in Kraljevo are still closed.
The commission headed by statics experts stated that out of 87 school facilities, 19 schools, the majority of which are located in the town, have suffered serious damage, but their stability is not threatened, Head of the Raska District School Administration Zarko Milosavljevic told Tanjug.
